Documentary Screening, Data Exhibit, Panel Discussion, and Community Listening Session
Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion (ARDI) Initiative are excited to launch their Mobility Justice Series. The series will feature a screening of Yolanda Davis-Overstreet’s documentary, Biking While Black: Continuing to Ride through Decriminalization, Disenfranchisement, and Gentrification.
Please join us for refreshments and a data exhibit before we jump into the screening of the documentary, followed by a panel discussion and community listening session where we will have a dialogue around what is needed to advance mobility justice in our communities.
The data exhibit will feature mobility justice posters and networking with local community-based organizations and LA County departments whose work focuses on equitable mobility investments.
The panel discussion will explore key elements of the film and how biking safety impacts vulnerable communities throughout Los Angeles County. A community listening session will focus on restoration—connecting residents with County Departments and CBOs—and amplify solutions to improve the health and safety of communities.
